Custom phonemizer: Github

Download the DLL file and add it to the Plugins folder of OpenUtau. The phonemizer can be found under the JA category, and it will allow you to write plain hiragana lyrics.

Other supported features:

• Automatic or manual vowel endings
  
• Context-based pronunciation of ん
  
• Adjusting VEL of CV will change the length of VC
  

The vowels и and у are naturally quiet, but resamplers normalize them to a louder volume by default. You can lower the default value of the P flag to reduce the amount of normalization.

Alternatively, you can manually lower the volume on individual notes with those vowels. Volume adjustments also help with making VCs blend more smoothly.

Transcription chart

This is not the standard system for transcribing Japanese with cyrillic. I made this up with the help of my friend Sors, using letters from Russian and Serbian. It's pretty hard to type since you need to switch between multiple keyboard settings, so I recommend using the phonemizer as much as possible.
